This document describes how auto-recharge works on Boundless API. By enabling auto-recharge, you agree to the terms below in addition to our Terms of Service and Billing & Credits Policy.
1. What Is Auto-Recharge?
Auto-recharge automatically adds credits to your account when your balance falls below a threshold you set, so API access is not interrupted.
2. How It Works
| Setting | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Threshold | Balance level that triggers recharge | $5 |
| Recharge amount | Credits added per trigger | $25 |
| Payment method | Stripe card on file | Visa •••• 4242 |
Example: Threshold $5, recharge $25. When balance hits $4.99, we charge $25 (+ 5% platform fee + tax) and add $25 credits.
3. Your Authorization
By enabling auto-recharge, you authorize Boundless Intelligence Labs, Inc. to:
- Store your payment method via Stripe
- Charge your payment method when balance ≤ threshold
- Charge the platform fee and applicable taxes on each recharge
- Retry failed payments up to 3 times over 7 days
You may update or disable auto-recharge at any time in Dashboard → Billing → Auto-Recharge.
4. Failed Payments
If a charge fails:
- Email notification sent immediately
- API continues until balance is exhausted
- Retries at 24h, 72h, 7d (if card updated)
- After final failure: auto-recharge disabled; manual top-up required
Update your card in Dashboard → Billing → Payment Methods.
5. Limits
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum recharge | $10 |
| Maximum single recharge | $25,000 |
| Maximum recharges per day | 5 (abuse prevention) |
Contact support for higher limits.
6. Refunds
Auto-recharge purchases follow our Refund Policy: unused credits refundable within 24 hours; platform fee non-refundable.
7. Disabling Auto-Recharge
Dashboard → Billing → Auto-Recharge → Disable
Disabling does not affect existing balance. No future automatic charges will occur.
